Red - Thread Vein Removal
Vein Wave is a revolutionary treatment, used within the medical field, that removes unsightly red veins from the face and body by using Thermo-coagulation.
A high frequency wave, passing through an insulated fine sterile needle, roughly as thick as a human hair, producing a thermal lesion, making the vein collapse and disappear. Television programmes like 'This Morning' on ITV and 'Embarassing Bodies' on Channel 4 have show cased this amazing piece of equipment. Case Study:
Mrs W, aged 48, from Dorset noticed she had red veins around her nose and on her cheeks. She said, "Ok, it is easy enough to put make-up over the area to cover the veins up, but within a short period of time the make-up wipes off and I'm back to square one. I just don't want to have to put make up on, especially during the day or when on holiday. The treatment wasn't painful, felt like a tiny pinch or a hair being pulled out. After I had the treatment my face settled quite quickly. I'm pleased with the results, I will have another treatment soon as I've spotted a few more on my face that I didn't have treated last time, and I also want to go onto my legs. Trouble is you get really fussy, I just want my skin to look flawless."
Vein Wave treatments start from £60.00. Suitable for men and women. A free, no obligation consultation is available. Tel: 01202 244117
VeinWave can be used to treat Red / Thread Veins
What is Veinwave?
Does Veinwave treatment hurt?
There is a little minor discomfort with a very slight burning sensation when the needle is withdrawn, but this disappears within a few seconds.
What are the side-effects of Veinwave treatment?
Most patients have no side effects. After treatment the area is slightly red and the final results can be seen after 48 hours. The slight marks along the line of the vein may remain for up to a week or two, and in some cases up to six weeks.
What causes thread veins?
The reason why some people are affected and others are not is unknown. There are though some predisposing factors. Heredity seems to play a part. Injury to the legs and long periods of standing are causative factors. In addition, more women than men seem to develop this condition as a result of pregnancy or hormones. Thread veins on the face can be aggravated by extremes of weather, alcohol and even spicy foods.
How can they be prevented on the legs?
The use of support hose, weight control and exercise may be beneficial.
Will the treated veins recur?
The veinwave treatment is usually 90% successful, however thread veins may recur. It may seem that a previously treated vein has recurred, whereas in fact a new thread vein has appeared in the same area.
Skin tags
A skin tag is a small flap of tissue that hangs off the skin by a connecting stalk. Skin tags are not dangerous. They are usually found on the neck, chest, back, armpits, under the breasts, or in the groin area. Skin tags appear most often in women, especially with weight gain, and in elderly people.
Skin tags don't usually cause any pain . However, they can become irritated if anything, such as clothing or jewellery, rubs on them.
How are skin tags treated?
Skin Tags can be treated simply and effectively useing the Veinwaves ultra-fine needle to pass a high frequency current in and arround the tag, the heat causes the tag to collapse.
