Before treatment you will have a full consultation (free of charge) with one of our doctors and we will discuss which filler is best for you. No allergy test is required and treatments can be carried out alongside antiwrinkle injections.

The treatment can take as little as 20 minutes but may take longer depending on individual requirements. Anaesthetic cream is routinely used, but now new fillers with local anaesthesia are also available to further minimize the discomfort.

After treatment a slight swelling and pink colleration may appear which will usually fade within a few hours, some bruising may also occur. The beneficial effects are visible immediately, lasting for between four and nine months.

What is Sculptra?

Sculptra is a non-animal based, biodegradable, injectable dermal filler. It contains poly-L-lactic acid, a synthetic product that has been used in plastic and reconstructive surgery for years. It is also licensed for use in the NHS for facial reconstruction in certain patients.

How does Sculptra rejuvenate the skin?

Sculptra is injected deep into the skin layer where it helps stimulate new collagen production and plumps the skin from within, smoothing out lines and wrinkles.

Collagen is a vital protein for maintaining visible youth, tone and texture in skin. Facial skin will begin to be visibly smoother within 4-6 weeks. Normally 2 or 3 treatments are needed every 2 months to achieve results. However, once the process is completed, results last for up to 2 years. Treatment Process

At your initial consultation, treatment options, side effects and results will be discussed. You will be offered a (Lip Block) anaesthetic injection to numb the lips completely, so the treatment is totally pain-free. After treatment your lips will be swollen and tender for about 24 hours, but will quickly settle. Occasionally small lumps may be felt along the lip border but these tend to settle within a week and are not visible.
